Prosecution demands action against witnesses for turning hostile in TP murder case

KOZHIKODE: The prosecution Wednesday demanded action against 16 witnesses, who turned hostile in the sensational murder case of Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader T P Chandrasekharan here more than a year ago.

Special Prosecutor P Kumaran Kutty filed a case in the trial court which is hearing the case, demanding action against them in the May 4, 2012 murder.

Earlier, the prosecution had filed a similar petition demanding action against three witnesses in the case.

If found guilty of misleading the court they could get imprisonment upto seven years and penalty.

Special judge Narayan Pisharaty posted the case to January 27 for pronouncing the verdict.
