NEW DELHI: Union Health Minister Harsha Vardhan has said that the Centre has initiated steps to start AIIMS in Kerala. “It would become a reality within five years. We have also written to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, asking him to allot land for the purpose,” he said in the Lok Sabha.
Meanwhile, BJP leader O Rajagal put the blame on State government for Centre not making any budgetary allocation for AIIMS in Kerala. “The government did not give evidential information to the Centre regarding the land earmarked for the AIIMS. Without doing that, the State has been blaming Centre for no reason of theirs,” Rajgopal said.
