THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala government has declared a financial aid of Rs 3 lakh each for all the 46 nurses who were brought back to Kerala from war-torn Iraq. The amount was handed over to the nurses today.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the compensation was immediately arranged so as to help them settle their financial obligations. Indian embassy had completed procedures to extract nurses’ pending salaries from their employer in Iraq.
The chief minister also discussed with the nurses matters concerning their rehabilitation.
