Prohibitory orders at Kuttiady

KOZHIKODE:  Kozhikode district collector has imposed curfew for ten days at Kuttiady, where bomb-hurling incident happened on Friday. Prohibitory orders have also been imposed at Nadapuram.  In his order the collector has said that people should avoid forming crowds, demonstrations and illegal possession of arms.

The bomb hurling incident happened on Friday morning at Kuttiady when bomb was hurled at SDPI activist and Kallachi Binu murder case accused Nizar. After hurling bomb at Binu, the gang of attackers also hacked him.

He and three others who were seriously injured are under treatment in hospital. The collector signed Prohibitory orders after taking into account the possibility of violence in the area. Police personnel have also been deployed in the area.
