Chandy behind Selvaraj’s resignation, alleges Pinarayi

Saturday, March 10, 2012: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan today said that the brain behind the resignation of R Selvaraj is Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and P C George was just a device used for the act.
The conspiracy to make him resign was plotted at the Guest House in the capital city, said Pinarayi, who was here to attend the politburo meet.
Chandy used the same man (George) to criticize and make the vigilance judge resign in the palmolein case. The same stunt was enacted here also, Pinarayi added.

No governance in State, alleges Pinarayi

September 23, 2011: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan today alleged that there was no governance in the state and the government failed to taken precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak of contagious diseases.

During the previous government, the health department was functioning effectively whereas now it was pathetic under the UDF government, Pinarayi said, addressing a gathering as part of Azhikodan Commemoration Day at Payyambalam Beach here.

Pinarayi alleged that there was shortage of doctors and medicines in the government hospitals and government could not take any measures to control the spread of diseases.

He demanded the role of Union Home minister P Chidambaram in the 2G spectrum scam be probed.

UDF trying to blackmail judiciary, alleges Pinarayi

Saturday, September 10, 2011: Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan alleged here on Saturday that the UDF was trying to blackmail the judiciary.

Speaking to the reporters here, Pinarayi added that Government chief whip PC George had filed a complaint against the Vigilance Court Judge P.K Haneefa, with the consent of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

In a letter send to President Pratibha Devisingh Patel and Supreme Court Chief Justice, PC George alleged that the probe was ordered into the Palmolein graft case without following the usual procedures.

The judge was deliberately trying to make Chief Minister Oommen Chandy an accused in the case, the letter alleged.
