September 23, 2011: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan today
alleged that there was no governance in the state and the government
failed to taken precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak of
contagious diseases.
During the previous government, the health department was functioning
effectively whereas now it was pathetic under the UDF government,
Pinarayi said, addressing a gathering as part of Azhikodan Commemoration
Day at Payyambalam Beach here.
Pinarayi alleged that there was shortage of doctors and medicines in
the government hospitals and government could not take any measures to
control the spread of diseases.
He demanded the role of Union Home minister P Chidambaram in the 2G spectrum scam be probed.
