Friday, September 30, 2011: The victims of the Thekkady boat tragedy were remembered on the second anniversary of the accident near here on Friday.
The Thekkady boat disaster occurred when the double-decker passenger boat Jalakanyaka sank in Lake Thekkady, Periyar National Park, Kerala, on September 30 2009, When the boat capsized, 45 tourists died, most of them from Delhi and Kolkata.
