Wednesday, September 28, 2011: CPM led LDF Opposition in Kerala today
staged a walkout in the assembly to protest Speaker’s refusal to permit
a discussion on alleged misuse of government machinery to allow the
ruling UDF to take over the administration of State Agriculture
Co-operative Bank (SACB).
Seeking leave for an adjournment motion on the matter, senior CPI-M leader E P Jayarajan said government through an
ordinance cancelled the affiliation of 17 primary Agriculture co-operative Banks with an intention to capture SACB.

Co-operative sector was in a crisis as disbursement of loans to farmers had been hit due to the development, he said.
