Wednesday, September 28, 2011: V Sivankutty MLA today came down
heavily on Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in connection with the alleged
corruption in sanctioning an anti-pollution project for Travancore
Titanium Products Ltd.
In a written complaint forwarded in Assembly Sivankutty alleged that
the Chief minister was directly involved in the case and a CBI probe
must be conducted.
It is alleged that the corruption in connection with the sanctioning
of the project is estimated to be Rs 256 crore. There were corrupt
practices in the purchase of equipment during the tenure of the previous
UDF government.
