Saturday, September 24, 2011: Opposition leader VS Achuthanandhan said that ruling party members are trying to disrupt and derail the palmolein case. The Govt is trying to sabotage the case by using others. Earlier it was Vigilance director Desmond Netto and now it was chief whip P C George, VS alleged.
The judiciary cannot perform independently under the reign of Oommen Chandy. Chandy is exposing his innocence outside and trying to sabotage from behind.
VS flayed Chandy for remaining silent and not reacting when PC George raised allegations against a judge. PC George has taken over the quotation of Oommen Chandy in the palmolein case. The Govt is using the chief whip to intimidate the judiciary, VS alleged.
