GURUVAYOOR: CPM Politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan has said that KPCC president V M Sudheeran has become a slave of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s caucus of manipulators. Sudheeran’s only concern now is to save Chandy from bribery cases. He said this during the press conference held as part of the party’s Nava Kerala march.
“Where have his principles once highlighted by the media vanished? Sudheeran is now following the principle of safeguarding the corrupt,” he said.
Pinarayi said BJP chief Amit Shah’s move is to bring K M Mani and Jose K Mani to the party camp. “Earlier, he approached Vellapally Natesan with the same intention after offering his son a Union minister’s post. Jose K Mani has been called to Delhi for this in the name of discussing rubber price issue. The Central government has had to reply on rubber price issue after Kerala MPs held protests. Then why is Jose K Mani being individually called to Delhi,” he asked.

Complaint made against Abdullahkutty at the behest of Thampanoor Ravi, says Saritha
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Solar scam accused Saritha S Nair disclosed on Monday that she had given sexual harassment complaint against A P Abdullakutty MLA at the behest of KPCC general secretary Thampanoor Ravi.
“I gave statement against him before the Magistrate as advised by Thampanoor Ravi. The aim behind this was to divert the solar case,” Saritha told the Commission, which also accepted three CDs given by her as evidence.
“I talked to former minister Ganesh Kumar’s PA Pradeep Kumar over phone. Pradeep told me that I should obey Thampanoor Ravi. After coming out of jail, I stayed at Balakrishna Pillai’s cousin’s house.
Benny Behanan MLA had prevented me from revealing the truth whenever I tried to… Benny had told me that he was just obeying the instructions of the chief minister. But later Benny and Ravi changed their stands and asked me to withdraw the case. Evidence on all this is in the CD. Before giving a complaint to DGP, Ravi told me that he had briefed DGP about the case. The case was filed and withdrawn according to the instructions of the chief minister. The evidence regarding this is in the CD” she told media persons,” he told media persons.

Will accept those returning to party, says Kummanam
KOCHI: BJP state president Kummanam Rajashekharan Monday said the party will happily receive all those who have left the party and all inactive leaders if they wish to return to the party. The state leadership will discuss the return of many including P P Mukundan.
Talking to reporters as part of his Vimochana Yatra, he said the door is opened to those who want to return back to the party. Mukundan has not contacted the leadership so far. I want everyone to return back to the party. If activists of other parties express their wish, then that also will be discussed, but they will have to accept the policies of the party. The foundation of the party would be expanded after receiving everyone, he said. There is a big response for the yatra, he said.
The government has to take a decision on the demand of K K Rema and RMP seeking a CBI probe on the conspiracy behind the murder of T P Chandrasekharan. Other ways would be considered if the decision is delayed.
The state leadership is not aware of the meeting between Kerala Congress leader K M Mani and BJP national chief Amit Shah. There is nothing in both the leaders meeting. The CPM is showing double standard in the solar corruption, he alleged.
