National institute of technology student Indu's body found near Chengamanad in Periyar River on 28 April 2011.Indu was returning to National Institute of Technology Calicut after her Easter leave.Indu started her journey on Sunday 24 April 8.40 pm from Pettah Railway Station at Trivandrum
The police had been searching for the missing woman for the past few days.
There was a family friend and teacher named Subash who was in the berth with her.Till the train reached Kayamkulam at night he had seen her. Later she went to sleep in the lower berth.What had really happened to Indu is still not known.Indu's Father Saying about his lost Daughter during 'Mangalapuram' Train Travel. Indu had a problem of becoming unconscious due to low hemoglobin level in blood.
There has been talks among people that Indu could have been attacked by someone who pushed her off the compartment.But this possibility is ruled out because there is no such chances in an AC Compartment which is not inter connected with nearby bogies and other passengers will not come there.
Indu had left her mobile phone, purse and everything in the train itself. So there is no chance for her to get out and go some where without taking it and her wedding was fixed on May 16th.
