Former Kerala minister K.K. Ramachandran was Tuesday suspended from the Congress for speaking out against the UDF during the Assembly poll campaign.
According to KPCC sources here, the suspension of Ramachandran for six years for "anti-party activities" was announced by the AICC in New Delhi today. Ramachandran had come out strongly against selection of candidates and accused KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala and senior leader Oommen Chandy of acting "unilaterally."
Master had stated he was ousted from the previous government for not granting permission to a project of the Travancore Titanium.Master said that both Chandy and Chennithala urged him to give clearance for the project. I wasn’t interested in the project as widespread irregularities were detected. Both used to give me threatening calls, he said.
He also alleged that there were even cases of giving tickets for money. Ramachandran (75) has held ministerial berths in the UDF cabinets headed by A K Antony and Oommen Chandy.
