Girl dies after hit by lightning

Thamarassery: A girl who was under treatment after being hit by lightning, succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday. Shahina, 15, daughter of Abdul Salam from Karimabalakunnu, was the deceased. The lightening struck her on Monday and besides Shahina, her grand mother Pathummakutty, mother Fathima and sister Unaisa were also injured. They are under treatment now. 


Shahina was shifted to MIMS hospital later and died on Tuesday morning. She was staying at Markaz Girls Orphanage in Maranjotty and was a ninth standard student at Fathima Memorial HS Koombara. 


Ubaid and Shafi are her brothers.
