Tension at Peyad

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: At least six persons were injured, none seriously, when activists of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Bharatiya Janata Party clashed at Peyad here late on Wednesday.


The police said the groups threw stones at each other, accusing the opponent of removal of their respective party flags. The police have deployed in strength in the area to prevent further escalation of violence.
