THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state govt and the All-Kerala Private Medical College Managements’ Association entered into an agreement on fee structure on Wednesday.
Eight colleges under the Association signed the agreement while three — KMCT, Kozhikode, Kannur Medical College and Karuna MC, Palakkad - kept away.
As per the accord, the fee for management quota seats has been hiked from `6 lakh to `6.5 lakh. In 30 per cent of govt quota seats, itr would be `1.38 lakh and `20,000 for the 20% seats for BPL category.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Health Minister V S Sivakumar and representatives of the Association signed the agreement.
