Govt to promote 1250 policemen this year: CM

 Wednesday, May 30, 2012: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today informed that the state government has decided to promote 1000 constables to the rank of Head Constables.
Addressing the reporters after the Cabinet meeting here on Wednesday, Chandy added that 1000 Head constables will be promoted to Assistant Sub Inspectors and 500 Assistant Sub Inspectors to Sub Inspectors.
1250 policemen would be promoted this year and the rest in the coming year, he told. It has also been decided to hand over the Agro Processing Company at Nadukavu in Moovatupuzha to Vegetable and Food Promotion Council. Rs 10 lakhs has been sanctioned for the year long birthday centenary celebration of Sree Chithira Thirunal.
