Will consider Gadgil committee report seriously: Minister

 Friday, May 25, 2012: Water Resources Minister P J Joseph today said that government will consider the Gadgil committee report seriously .
Talking to mediapersons, he said that a reply will be given only after discussions with the Chief Minister.
The Madhav Gadgil Committee was appointed by the Union Environment Ministry to study the biodiversity of the Western Ghats.The Committee report states that the Mullaperiyar dam is situated in ecologically fragile zone.
