Police hunt on for Kodi Suni, TK Rajeesh

THALASSERY: The police continued raids on ‘party villages’ in the Chokli region here on Sunday night also to locate the hideouts of the members of the quotation gang involved in the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T P Chandarasekharan.
The targets of the raids were the suspected shelters of Kodi Suni and T K Rajeesh, the duo who led the gang that executed the murder of Chandrasekharan.
   The police conducted raids in Chokli, Pallur and Patyam regions based on the suspicion that the leaders of the killer-gang could be still remaining safe in the shelters of the party villages. The raids were  led by Panur CI Jayan Dominic, Chokli SI Shiju and Chombala SI Shiju. The usual hideouts of the killer-gang were searched by the police party, but no one could be taken into custody.   There were reports that the CPM workers would prevent the police from conducting raids on the party villages, but the police party faced no resistance.
The investigating police officials expect to make a breakthrough if Rejeesh could be arrested. Rejeesh is involved in a series of murder cases in the region.  The links of the quotation gang involved in the murder of T P Chandrasekharan with Mahe also are being probed by the team of officials, according to sources here.
