DGP orders probe into MM Mani’s disclosure

Saturday, May 26, 2012: Director General of Police, Jacob Punnoose, gave order to Idukki SP to conduct investigation into the controversial revelations made by M.M Mani, the CPM district secretary in Idukki.
The DGP issued directives to study the case diary of events mentioned by Mani and to find out what legal steps could be taken on the basis of new revelations.
Mani had said that CPM has a history of handling political rivals.
