Jayageetha issue: Railway police files chargesheet

Thursday, May 31, 2012: The Railway police have filed a chargesheet in connection with the Jayageetha issue on Thursday. TTE Jaffer Hussain has been named first accused and TTE GR Praveen is named second accused.
Jayageetha, a regular passenger of the train, was alone in a compartment when one of the ticket examiners asked her to come and join them in another compartment on February 17 evening. Jayageetha informed about the misbehaviour to her husband and DYFI Kollam area secretary Shivaprasad. He immediately reached the railway station when the train arrived around 7 pm.
The two ticket examiners allegedly showered abusive words on Shivaprasad and Jayageetha. Following this, the couple met the Station Manager and lodged a complaint.
