Labourer killed in stone quarry mishap in Kannur

Saturday, May 26, 2012: One person was killed and two others seriously injured when huge boulders, rubble and earth caved-in at a granite quarry near Kuthuparambu here on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Basavaraj, hailing from Karnataka, police told. The accident occurred by around 10.30 in the morning.
The injured were immediately rushed to the nearby hospital by fire force personnel with the help of local residents.
