The committee, appointed by the State Government to study the nursing sector, had submitted its report yesterday.
In it’s report, it is recommended that the basic salary of staff nurses be revised as Rs 12,900. Senior staff nurses who have three years’ work experience should be given Rs 13,650. The salary of head nurses should be Rs 15,150. Deputy Nursing Superintendent, Nursing Superintendent and Nursing officer have been recommended to give Rs 17,740, Rs 19,740 and Rs 21,360 respectively.
