Inter-church council pens agreement with govt

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Inter-Church Council has penned an agreement with the state government in connection with admissions to self-financing engineering colleges. Rs 75,000 would be the fees in all seats and an amount of Rs one lakh should be given as refundable deposit. This is the first time the inter-church council and the government has reached an agreement.


The government had yesterday signed pact with self-financing engineering college management association. As per the agreement, the seat-sharing will be on a 50:50 ratio. And the fess structure will be Rs 40,000 under the government quota and 65,000 under the management quota. The fees for management seat will be Rs 99,000 and Rs 150,000 for NRI seat.
