Pillai suspects Ganesh-VS nexus

KOTTARAKKARA: Giving a new dimension to the standoff between Kerala Congress (B) chairman R Balakrishna Pillai and his son and Forest Minister K B Ganesh Kumar, Pillai now suspects that Ganesh had conspired with Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan to send him behind bars, in his bid to become a minister.
Taking a cue from Ganesh’s revelation at Pathanapuram the previous week that he had an amicable relationship with V S Achuthanandan which was spoiled for the sake of his father, Balakrishan Pillai said that their relationship seems suspicious.
‘’It is suspicious that Ganesh was in friendship with VS who is known rival of his father for the past twenty years,’’ Pillai told mediapersons here on Thursday.
Pillai said that it can be suspected that Ganesh helped to Achuthanandan to gain a favourable verdict from the Supreme Court in the Idamalayar case.
Pillai said that Ganesh wanted to avoid him from contesting the elections, as Ganesh was afraid that he would not be able to become a minister.
