DYFI hartal begins in Kilimanoor

Tuesday, March 20, 2012: The 12-hour hartal announced by DYFI in Kilimanoor has begun on Tuesday.
The hartal has been called as a protest against the police lathicharge on DYFI activists yesterday.
A group of DYFI activists on Monday waved black flags towards Chief Minister Oommen Chandy near Kilimanoor.
Following this, a clash was broke out between UDF and DYFI activists. 5 DYFI activists were injured when the Police resorted to lathicharge. Around 15 activists were arrested.
