THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: I will win in Poonjar with a huge majority, said P C George. I will get a majority of 40,000 votes. If the LDF is voted to power and if V S Achuthanandan becomes the chief minister, I will vote for him. I will not support anyone else in the LDF. But if someone else other than VS becomes the chief minister, a decision on the support will be taken after consulting with the people of Poonjar, he said.
The relation with the Kerala Congress (Secular) has been shelved completely. I’ve plans to form a new party in the name of Janapaksha Party. As I have a previous experience, I would be the chairman of the new party, he said.

It’s LDF’s payment seat in Poonjar, says P C George
KOTTAYAM: The decision of the LDF to give the Poonjar assembly constituency to Democratic Kerala Congress is a payment choice, alleged P C George. Addressing the media, he said persons like Faris Aboobacker and Chakku Radhakrishnan are behind it.
George said, I’ll contest from Poonjar. Nominations will be filed on April 22. Though a section of the CPM cheated me, I will contest from there as some Left activists want me as their candidate. CPM, CPI local branch area committee leaders and activists had announced their support. I started campaigning following CPM district secretary V N Vasavan’s assurance. I cannot withdraw again. As I am with the people of Poonjar on all 365 days, no special campaigning is needed. I don’t think they will desert me.
Democratic Kerala Congress don’t even have a panchayat member in Poonjar. My party has many panchayat members. The LDF contested with the support of our party and got members including district panchayat member.
Leaders of the Democratic Kerala Congress have so far not uttered a word against Oommen Chandy and P J Joseph. There were in the forefront to protect Oommen Chandy’s corrupt government. The candidate of the Democratic Kerala Congress contesting against me is a sponsored candidate. I don’t know who it is but I am trying to learn it. I had earlier stated that the LDF will not cheat me. LDF convenor Vaikkom Viswan said they have not cheated me. I am not replying for it now, he said.

Saritha stayed in Jose K Mani’s flat in Delhi, says P C George
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Whenever Saritha S Nair, main accused in the solar case, reaches Delhi, she used to stay in Jose K Mani’s flat, said P C George. Talking to Kerala Kaumudi Flash, he said that he will produce all documents with proofs when he deposes before the Solar Commission today. It was Anto Antony and Jose K Mani, who introduced Saritha to union ministers.
George said, “The letter showed by Saritha at the press meet and the one I read are the same. What Pillai said before the commission and the contents of the letter asserted by him are the same.”
It is also hinted that he will give statement against the chief minister and the ministers before the commission. The solar case came to light after a conspiracy was hatched by the political leadership to obtain 60,000 crore. He is likely to mention the name of the chief minister and the ministers here. He will depose before the commission as per the notice of them.

My last vote for UDF, says P C George
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After casting his vote for the Rajya Sabha polls, P C George MLA said this could be his last vote for the UDF. I would consult with the people whether to cast votes for the cabinet consisting of pilferers like Finance Minister K M Mani.
The UDF is a front which is going to deteriorate. I’ll cast votes for the UDF only after considering the emotions of the people. Mani, who sells budget, has cheated the people and the farmers.
The UDF directed George to vote for IUML candidate Abdul Wahab. George had stated earlier that he would vote for the UDF in the Rajya Sabha polls.

I’ll not quit the post, says P C George
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The stand of P C George is not to quit the Chief Whip post if not permitted to revive the old secular party. Let any allied party of the UDF demand my ouster for my fight against corruption. The fight against corruption will continue, he told Kerala Kaumudi Flash.
George said, “The UDF should ask me to quit the post. K M Mani has no right to seek my ouster. The Kerala Congress had demanded two ministerial berths and a deputy speaker post. The UDF offered me he chief whip post and so how can Mani demand my ouster. I’m part of the UDF. I will vote for the UDF candidates in the Rajya Sabha elections."
The parliamentary party meet was convened secretly. As per the constitution of the party, convening the parliamentary party meet was not right. Kerala Congress is the confederation of the Mani and Joseph groups and the secular wing. When the party meet was convened on March 21st, no talks were held on my expulsion. The secret meet with the MLAs were held on March 24. Let Mani convene the party committee and directly ask me to quit, he said.

Mani should have resigned earlier, says P C George
KOTTAYAM: Chief Whip P C George while talking to the media said Kerala Congress (M) chairman K M Mani should have resigned earlier. If he had done so, he could have faced the investigation and returned successfully, he said.
George asked Mani to clarify those who have pushed the party into the mid-sea. The bar bribery scam led the party to this situation. If the party moves forward like this, it is sure to suffer a setback in the three tier panchayat polls, George said.
A chance was not obtained to discuss the issue in party venues. The scam tainted the image of the party and factionalism still exists in the party.
The report in connection with the investigation conducted by the party in the bar scam should not be exposed he said.

Chandrabose: Direct link between DGP & Nisham, says P C George
KOTTAYAM: Nisham, noted industrialist and accused in the murder case of Chandrabose, has direct connection with DGP K S Balasubramanyam, alleged Chief Whip P C George. Addressing a press meet, he said Jacob Job, former commissioner of Thrissur, was made a scapegoat in the case.
George produced a disc containing the evidence of DGP’s involvement to sabotage the case. He said that he will hand over the evidence to Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and Chief Minister Oommen Chandy tomorrow. Jacob Job was suspended as he did not comply with the demand of the DGP to save Nisham. The DGP had visited Shoba City many times. In order to bring Nishanthini to Thrissur as police commissioner, Jacob Job was made a scapegoat.
Nisham offered Rs 6 crores as bribe to two leaders to free him from the case. When Chandrabose was attacked, Nisham’s wife was in the car. Why she was not questioned, asked George and said the DGP saved her in the case.

Govt should stop Maoist hunt, says P C George
THRISSUR: Chief Whip P C George came to the fore supporting Maoists. He asked the government to stop taking steps against the Maoists. Talking to the media, he said they should be dealt ideologically.
Maoists fight for justice and should be faced through ideal discussions. Instead crores should not be spent for weapons to contain 10 to 20 Maoists. They should not be faced with guns.
Maoists have a favourable attitude towards the tribals and just the opposite against blade mafias. The reason for the tribals being attracted to Maoists would be the change in administration by different fronts.

CM, Ministers should hold talks with Modi, says P C George
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: PM designate Narendra Modi would be the next great power, said Chief Whip P C George. The chief minister and other ministers should hold talks with him and get things done for the state, he said.
They should hold talks with him on issues including Gadgil Report in connection with the conservation of Western Ghats. Even leaders of allied parties should hold talks with him. Many opposed when I wore a T-shirt with the picture of Modi. One should wait and watch now whether everybody will be willing to meet Modi again, he said.

If time allows, I'll campaign in Idukki, says P C George
NEW DELHI: Chief Whip P C George Friday said that if invited and has the time will campaign in Idukki. A tight competition will be witnessed in Idukki this time. George is in Delhi to stage a dharna seeking a CBI probe in the death of Saseendran, secretary of Malabar Cements Company.
It is not right to criticise now as the Congress candidate in Idukki has been announced. Till yesterday, there were differences of opinion but now it’s different. If I’ve the time will campaign for the candidate in Idukki. I’ve to campaign for the candidates in Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and other places also.
The Kerala Congress has been neglected by allotting one seat. But the Congress will fill that loss after the polls. Jose K Mani will be contesting in the Kottayam seat and his name will be announced after the convention of the party.
Those in the list of candidates are gems. The people know whom to vote. The anxiety of the Kerala Congress on the Kasturirangan Report has not been completely changed, he said.

I never taught my children to ransack, says P C George
KOTTAYAM: In a befitting reply, Chief Whip P C George came forward strongly criticising the statements of Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan. My children were also given proper education but they were never taught to ransack. Neither me nor my son has any quarry or are involved in sand mining, said George.
George asked Thiruvanchoor to make clear how much salary his son has drawn from Abhilash Muraleedharan, an industrialist in Gujarat. Does the drinking water Company in Gujarat belong to Thiruvanchoor or Abhilash.
Abhilash owes Rs 3 lakhs to Gokulam Chit Fund in Kayamkulam branch. He has almost 20 luxurious vehicles in the state. How many times Thiruvanchoor’s official vehicle has gone to Abhilash’s house, asked George

Bottled Water Company belongs to Thiruvanchoor, says P C George
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: I strongly believe the bottled water company in Gujarat belongs to Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, said Chief Whip P C George.
Abhilash Muraleedharan, an industrialist in Gujarat and chief minister’s Delhi aide Thomas Kuruvila have shares in the company, he said.
George also alleged that Abhilash is a dealer of hawala transactions. He has cheated one Johnson Koshy, a business man in Dubai for an amount of Rs 15 crores. The amount was cheated in the name of a government sponsored company. Anyone can contact Koshy to know the truth, he said.
One can understand the standard of Thiruvanchoor who said that he knows Abhilash Muraleedharn for 12 years, he said.

Party to decide my resignation, says P C George
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Whip P C George has retracted his statement made yesterday and said it is not the chief minister who has to resign, but the home minister on the basis of the Kerala High Court observations.
The court’s sharp criticism was not against the chief minister but against the police which comes under the home department. So Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan should resign, George told reporters.
George said, “My resignation will be decided by the party and KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala. I informed my willingness to resign after the statements made by P T Thomas, but the party chairman asked me not to do that. P T Thomas is leveling baseless allegations against me. He has a grudge towards me as I talk for the farmers. His attitude is not as that of the Congress, he is just a party activist.”
George said Chandy has not asked me to resign. A caucus wants the chief minister to go. He should realize that. I said that I would have resigned if I was in his place after seeing the mental strain of the chief minister.
In reply to a question he said that he hasn’t spoken to CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan in the last ten years.

If the existing problems in the solar issue are not solved, the Kerala Congress would be forced to take any decision for the people. The allegation against the chief minister and the solar issue are internal problems of the congress. He asked the high command to intervene in the issue.
The intelligence was not able to report the meeting of Biju Radhakrishnan and Saritha S Nair with the ministers and MLAs. The home minister of the previous government and the present should be blamed for it, he said.
