SBT plans to add 100 new branches across Kerala


Wednesday, April 18, 2012: State Bank Of Travancore (SBT) is planning to add more than 100 branches during the next 12 months under the process of expanding its branch network, in addition to the existing 887 branches all over the state as a plan to open at least one branch per village in the state, according to its Managing Director P Nanda Kumaran.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mr Kumaran said the SBT’w target was to become one of the top ten banks in the country within five to six years.
SBT had estimated 24 per cent growth in business during 2011-12 with 28 per cent growth in its NRI business and had already set up a representative office in Dubai. He said SBT was planning to open at least 25 branches in North Kerala during this year.
