Fazal murder case: HC permits CPM leaders’ arrest

Saturday, May 12, 2012: The Kerala High Court permitted the CBI to arrest two leaders of the CPI(M) in Kannur district in the case pertaining to the murder of Muhammad Fazal (35), an activist of Islamist outfit NDF in Thalassery.
Justice P.S.Gopinath allowed the investigation team to arrest Karai Rajan, member of CPM’s Kannur district secretariat and Karai Chandrasekharan, CPM local committee secretary in Thiruvangad.
Meanwhile, the CBI has informed the High Court that RSS has no role in Fazal’s murder.
