Former Deputy Mayor dead

KOZHIKODE: An all-party meeting was held at the Government UP School, Panniankara to condole the death of the former deputy mayor of Kozhikode and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader P T Moideen Koya, 69. Moideen Koya, who represented the Kallai ward in Corporation council thrice, was the Deputy Mayor during 1982-83. Moideen Koya had also served as the district secretary of IUML and was the district president of the Swatantra Thozhilali Union. He is survived by his wife and two children.
