K. Pankajakshan cremated


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The mortal remains of veteran RSP leader and former Kerala minister K. Pankajakshan, who died on Tuesday, were consigned to flames with full state honours at the Titanium Employees Union office compound here Thursday evening.

Earlier in the morning, his body was brought home where a large number of people paid their last respects.

The body was later laid at the RSP state committee office and the VJT hall here for the public to pay homage.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan, Speaker G. Karthikeyan and ministers were among those who paid their respects to the leader when the body was laid at the VJT hall.
