July 24, 2011: Politbureau member and former Kerala minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan accused the ruling UDF regime of harassing government employees by transferring them “in violation of norms.”Addressing a Collectorate March organised by the Kerala Teachers Association, the former home minister alleged that even handicapped people were being harassed. Balakrishnan charged that only those “owing allegiance” to the ruling front were exempted from such treatment. The education sector in the state had stagnated, he also alleged.
