KOZHIKODE: The mystery behind the death of O.K. Indu (25), a research scholar at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C), was unravelled at last. The Crime Branch probing the death has revealed that K. Subhash, Assistant Professor, NIT-C, who was the lover of Indu, murdered her.Subhash was arrested at Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday. He will be produced before the house of Kozhikode Judicial Magistrate and later will be taken into custody.
Indu went missing from the Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Express train on 24 April 2011. Her body was recovered from Periyar River. Indu and Subhash were in love with each other. Indu’s refusal to marry Subhash led him to push her out of the moving train.
