MVR rubbishes merger issue

KANNUR: CMP general secretary M V Raghavan said no discussions were held with the CPI in connection with the merger of both. It is true that CPI leader Kanam Rajendran had come to meet me, but there is no need for a CPI-CMP nexus, he said.

There were reports that the CMP had expressed its displeasure in continuing with the UDF and was all set to join the CPI. It was hinted that CPI leader Kanam Rajendran had held talks with M V Raghavan regarding the merger.
