Case against Amrutha: Magistrate transferred


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The magistrate who directed to register a case against Amrutha Mohan, a graduate student of All Saints College, who had bashed up two eve teasers at Bakery Junction, has been transferred. Magistrate T A Ramachandran of Thiruvananthapuram CJM Court has been shifted to the mobile court.

The Kerala High Court subordinate registrar sent the order through a fax message to the CJM court. The judge in charge of the mobile court will take over as the magistrate in the CJM Court 3.

Ramachandran directed to register a case against Amrutha, her father and some of her family friends, following a petition from Anoop, who is in fact the second accused in the case registered by the police based on the complaint of her. The same magistrate had in fact directed to register a second case against her following the plea of third accused Manoj Lal.

She had been charged for causing grievous hurt and wrongfully detaining an employee of the state government.
