It's difficult to change style like we change shirt; can lost votes be retrieved if Pinarayi changes his style? Kanam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI State secretary Kanam Rajendran has remarked that the chief minister’s style can’t be changed like we change shirt. “It is the media that insist that the chief minister should change his style, against the backdrop of the poll defeat in the Lok Sabha election. Now, think that he would change his style, an in that case the LDF get back the lost votes,” Kanam quipped.

Kanam, meanwhile, said that the LDF stand in the Sabarimala issue was not what resulted in its poll defeat. “The government will not go back on its commitment to implement the Supreme Court order on Sabarimala women’s entry. In Thiruvananthapuram, there was no substantial decrease in the number of CPI votes,” he added.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had the other day said in the Assembly that people who say that he is arrogant need a chief minister who succumbs to the powers of communalism.

“I will be in the forefront to resist communalism. If it is called arrogance, I will continue to be arrogant,” he had stated.
