KOZHIKODE: KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala should resign from the post and join Muslim League, said BJP state president V Muraleedharan.
He said this after inaugurating the march organised by the Yuva Morcha from Cheruvannur to the District Collectorate, demanding the attachment of land allegedly possessed illegally by Muslim League leader and Rajya Sabha member Abdul Wahab.
He further said that Chennithala had surrendred to the power of Muslim League president. “Party workers had expected that Congress leadership would take strong stand against the Muslim League.
But instead, Chennithala has surrendered before the League president,” Muraleedharan said.
He further said that the statements made by Aryadan Mohammed and K Muraleedharan could only be seen as a reaction against the party leadership’s appeasement of Muslim League.
In the Malabar region, Muslim League is swallowing the Congress and it is evident from the very fact that out of the 25 MLA’s UDF have in the northern districts, 19 are from Muslim League.
