Probe on encroachment of forest land, says Thiruvanchoor

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said a probe will be conducted against Karnataka in connection with the encroachment of almost 1000 acres of land in Kannur. The government has asked the collector to submit an emergency report on it.


Medias have reported that Karnataka has encroached forest land coming under Cherupuzha panchayat in Kannur. The Karnataka forest department has issued a report asking the adivasis staying in places adjacent the forest land to vacate the place.
