Disabled son stabs father to death

PALAKKAD: A physically disabled man stabbed his father to death.

Muralidharan (24) killed his father Velan alias Mani (58) around 8.30 pm on Wednesday night while the latter was asleep at home. There was none else in the house at the time.

Mani was a drunkard who used to assault his family members.

Muralidharan, fed up of witnessing the suffering of his mother, brother and sister-in-law, decided to put an end to it.

Muralidharan works as a goldsmith in Thrissur. He cannot walk without the help of his hands. Mani used to be a loading worker.
It is said that they had a quarrel in the evening.
After committing the act, Muralidharan called a relative.
Though taken to hospital, Mani did not survive.
The police has arrested Muralidharan.
