Dismissing Sulabh employees: CITU warns of agitations

The CITU state secretariat has warned of agitations against the decision to dismiss the employees of Sulabh, who were working in various toilet complexes.

Sulabh International Social Services Organisation was running the toilet complexes of Transport Corporation, Tourism Department, Greater Cochin Development Authority, municipalities and other local bodies with the help of Bihari workers.

The employees of Sulabh, who had formed an union, were dismissed or suspended.

A statement from the CITU State committee office said that the management of Sulabh had even registered false complaints against the employees at the police station.

“The employees who were dismissed should be taken back and also good working environment should be ensured,” the statement said.
