HC to consider Jayarajan’s bail plea on Thursday

Tuesday, Aug 7, 2012: The Kerala High Court will consider the bail petition filed by Communist Party of India (Marxist) Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan, an accused in the case relating to the murder of Indian Union Muslim League activist Abdul Shukkoor on Thursday.

In his petition, Jayarajan said he had been falsely implicated in the case at the behest of Muslim League leaders with the connivance of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan. He was taken into custody when he appeared before the special investigation team for questioning on August 1.
