Keralite family attacked, looted in train

KANHANGAD: A robber ran off with Rs 150,000 after attacking a Keralite family in the Mangala Express proceeding to Ernakulam from Delhi. The woman sustained injuries when she tried to prevent the theft.  


The incident happened at 3 am Thursday morning. As the family did not get a direct flight to the state, they boarded a flight to Delhi and from there was travelling in the train to Ernakulam.


The robber stole the bag which was kept near her head. The woman has been admitted to the hospital after she sustained injuries while trying to stop him from fleeing. He then escaped from the train. The police have started an investigation after a complaint lodged.
