LDF hartal tomorrow

Wedneday, August 1, 2012: The CPM will observe a dawn to dusk hartal in Kerala tomorrow in protest against the arrest of CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan.


Jayarajan has been arrested in connection with the murder of Muslim Youth League activist Abdul Shukkoor. He has been booked for the conspiracy behind the murder of Shukkoor.


He was arrested when he appeared before the Kannur Town Police for a third round of interrogation Wednesday morning. Jayarajan, who was produced in the court was later remanded for 14 days and sent to Kannur Central Jail.
