PATHANAMTHITTA: Sini Ashraf (35), radiographer in Regional cancer Centre, dies in a motor accident in M C road on Friday night.Her husband Ashraf who drove the vehicle, their kids Hadsana and Hisham, Ashraf’s sister Jumeela Beevi and her son Ajmal survived with severe injuries.
Ashraf, who had come from Gulf a couple of days back to celebrate Ramadan, was driving the car and the family was on the way to their ancestral home in Kottayam.
Ashraf , who was dazzled by the light of the vehicle that came from the other side , applied the brake and lost control over the car which ran into a container lorry.
Sini, who was sitting in the front seat, died on the spot.
Her corpse, which had been in the general hospital mortuary in Adoor, was given to the relatives after inquest and postmortem.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy visited the hospital around 8 am on Saturday.
