Chennithala expresses satisfaction in job

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala expressed satisfaction on the job offered by the party and said that he is least interested in joining the cabinet.

Addressing reporters here, he said that he has nothing more to say from what he had said earlier.

Chennithala said, “I’m interested in discharging my duties as the KPCC chief and is quite satisfied with it.”

He asked the state government to take immediate steps to save the KSRTC without waiting for centre’s decision. The rise in price in the international market led to the increase in the price of diesel here, he said.

The strike staged by teachers and government employees under the leadership of the CPM was a failure. The government has granted land for one lakh out of the two lakh landless people.

Chennithala said a jatha will be conducted from Kasargod to the capital city to explain the decisions of Chintan Shibir held at Jaipur. It will be led by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, KPCC chief, UDF convenor P P Thankachan and former KPCC chief Thennala Balakrishna Pillai.
