NSS firm on stand

KOTTAYAM: I’m still firm on the statement made in the capital city yesterday, said NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair.

Nair said Chennithala was made to contest not to just become an MLA. The issue will not end unless Chennithala is given a key position like the ones obtained by the A group.

If Chennithala wouldn’t have been in the race, the UDF would have sat in the opposition. The NSS wants the government to continue and we are trying to shield the congress and the UDF.

Fifth ministerial post is not the issue; the pact given to the NSS was broken. The congress broke the pact given by Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who is no more.
