THRISSUR: Actor Kalabhavan Mani, accused of assaulting two forest officers at Athirappilly, surrendered and was granted bail Friday afternoon. He surrendered at the Athirappilly police station by 1.30 pm.
He was produced before the Chalakudy First Class Judicial Magistrate Court after questioning. He was granted bail in a bond of Rs 50,000 and two sureties for the same amount.
A complaint was lodged against the actor and his friend for assaulting forest officials on May 14 during a vehicle inspection.
