Sreesanth was trapped, say parents

KOCHI: Our son S Sreesanth was trapped in the allegation of spot fixing in the on-going IPL, said his father Santhakumaran Nair. Indian captain M S Dhoni and Harbhajan are behind it, he said.

Harbhajan, who is serving as the DySP in the Punjab police, hatched the plot. Dhoni had threatened that Sreesanth will not find a place in the Indian team. Somebody has trapped my son, said his mother Savithri Devi.

Noted singer Madhu Balakrishnan, Sreesanth’s brother in law, said personal enmity led to his arrest. Both Dhoni and Harbhajan had a grudge towards Sreesanth, he said. They wanted to break his marriage. Legal steps will be taken and one day truth will be revealed, he said.

Union Minister Shashi Tharoor said till the case is proved the cricketer will be  innocent.
