ALAPPUZHA: Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan on Thursday revealed that he has received death threat from Dubai via internet phone.
The person who phoned him told that he would be killed unless he stops criticizing Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala. He also used abusive words. Natesan hung up the phone without giving reply.
The person introduced himself as Sasikumar, a worker of SNDP’s UAE organization 'Sevanam'.
Natesan complained to the Mararikulam CI Subhash and the Cyber Cell started a probe which discovered that two earlier calls to Kerala from the number were made by Ramesh Chennithala’s nephew Sasikumar.
But CI Subhash said it was not sure that the call was made by Sasikumar. He added that the details of the Dubai number could not be traced. For this, the assistance of External Affairs Ministry would be sought, he said.
Meanwhile, Vellappally Natesan said that let the police find out the person behind the call.
