KOZHIKODE: In an explanation given to Orphanage Control Board, Ciesco Yatheemkhana said there is nothing wrong in marrying off a minor to an Arab but lapses occurred in the procedural measures. They also apologized for the lapses that happened.
There is nothing wrong in conducting the marriage. But marriages of girls below 18 years should be informed to the orphanage control board. The girl’s consent letter should be produced before the board. The authorities said they could not produce it and apologized for it.
